I grew up with pretty square Midwestern ideas about professional life, but thankfully, my mind wandered. When I can, I travel abroad, exploring the cultural complexities that allow people and business to flourish. I am a PADI-certified diver, kiteboarder, and photojournalist.

Her chapbook, Jaw Wiring: What You Need to Know, won the Flash Nonfiction Competition at Sweet: A Literary Confection and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She's a grateful alumna of the Association of Writers & Writing Programs Writer-to-Writer mentorship program and is working on a memoir at the intersection of substance and abuse.
